Leadership in Action at the Area FFA Contests
FFA has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From my first chapter office and serving as a Utah State Association Officer, to representing the College of Ag as a USU Senator, the leadership skills I learned in that blue corduroy jacket have guided me every step of the way—including my current role on the Garfield County School Board.
I was honored to spend time today judging the Area FFA contests. It was a proud moment to see students from all three of our high schools—Panguitch, Bryce Valley, and Escalante—showing up and competing with such talent and dedication.
While I certainly miss being in the classroom on days like this, I am incredibly grateful for our current Ag teachers. Their hard work ensures our students have the same opportunities I had to grow, lead, and succeed.

As I look toward serving as your County Commissioner, I remain committed to the values of hard work and leadership that agricultural education instills in our youth. They are the future of Garfield County!
