To my friends and neighbors across Garfield County,

Today, I am officially announcing my candidacy for Garfield County Commissioner.

I’ve spent my entire life in this county, and I know both its strengths and its challenges. I’m running because our commission needs steady, experienced leadership — someone who respects our past and is prepared to lead us into the future.

Why I’m asking for your vote:

• Proven Leadership: As your School Board President and a teacher for 29 years, I’ve spent decades serving our families. I know how to manage a budget, lead through challenges, and listen to the needs of our community.

• Agricultural & Business Roots: My lifelong agricultural experience and my time as a local business owner have taught me the value of a dollar and the importance of protecting our land and our way of life from outside overreach.

• Smart Healthcare: We all agree that our families deserve state-of-the-art healthcare. As your Commissioner, I will be a champion for bringing the best medical technology, top-tier professionals, and modern services to our county. Whether that means building new or strategically upgrading our current facilities, my decision will be based on one thing: what provides the best care for our citizens without overtaxing our families.

Our county is at a crossroads, and we need leadership that is as steady as the people who live here. I have spent my life in our classrooms, on our lands, and in our local businesses. Now, I’m ready to take those lessons to the Courthouse to work for you.
